Homework for Friday, August 16th

Reading: Read 20 minutes

Math:
Please have you child go through the following online lesson. It is a little longer, but it is interactive:

http://www.eharcourtschool.com/ma/math04/se/media/activities/intervention/lesson.html?g_iGrade=4&g_iChapter=1&g_iLesson=1&g_iProduct=5&g_iSection=7&strUserID=st1

Notes:
Please note, I tried this in Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Firefox. It did not seem to work using Firefox on my computer so if it is not working on yours, please try a different browser.

Also, I have gotten a few questions regarding planners. The district printed their own planners this year and they just came in today. However, they do not have hard covers. In order to make sure they last the whole year, I am having mine 3-hole punched so we can put them inside our binders. These will hopefully be ready sometime Monday.

Have a great weekend!

Pictures from day 2

Today the students shared some things that were important to them and had a snowball fight! The purpose of snowball fight is actually a team builder/ getting to know you activity. Everyone wrote down 3 things about themselves on a piece of paper but didn't put a name on it. Then, the class was organized into two opposing sides where they crumbled the paper and threw them at each other. After 30 seconds they stopped and picked up a piece of paper near them and had to try and decide who's paper they picked up.

Please make sure to return the early release and student medical forms if you have not done so already. Thank you!

For homework tonight, please have your student watch the following two and a half minute video. Also, each child was given a paper bag in which they are supposed to return to school with three things that represent them. Looking forward to seeing everyone again tomorrow!
