Free Enterprise Project

We learned about the free enterprise system in America which gives people the economic freedom to create a product or start a business of their own. In this project, the students played the roles of entrepreneurs by creating their own product or business idea. They came up with a catchy name, made a model or drawing (drawing if it was a business), picked their target audience, developed a marketing strategy and a way to advertise, and presented everything to their classmates. We saw kids create all kinds of services like babysitting and lawn-mowing companies. We also saw creative products that their classmates could actually buy and use like bookmarks, special soccer and basketballs, and duct-tape pens. It was a great success!
