Have a great weekend!!

Free Enterprise Information

The free enterprise system gives Americans economic freedoms. In an economy based on free enterprise, people are free to start their own business and create their own products.

For this project, you are taking on the role of an entrepeneur. It's your job to create your own business idea. For your presentation you will need to provide the following:

1. Your business idea or product with a CATCHY NAME!

2. Marketing strategy.
- Who is your target audience? Boys? Girls? Kids? Elderly people? What ages?
- What is the best way to get the word out to your target audience? How will you make sure they are aware of your product and see your advertisement?

3. Creative advertising idea. Can be a brochure, commercial, flyer, magazine ad, etc.
- Be persuasive and remember who you are targeting. For example: If it’s a commercial, when will the commercial air? What channels will I put it on? Magazine ad: which magazine will it appear in?

4. Model/drawing or poster
- Create a model for a product or create a poster for a business. If the product is too complicated to make a model of you may create a poster to describe it. The poster is separate from your advertisement!

5. Set an accurate price. Think about scarcity and supply and demand. If your item is made of pure gold, how much should it cost? If your product is made of paper, what should it cost?

6. Present project in class.

Awesome Summarizers!

In Social Studies, we have been learning about all kinds of different resources like natural, capital, human, renewable, non renewable and flow resources. Today we used our knowledge to sharpen our writing skills by creating summaries of what we learned about in our journals. The collaboration was awesome!

Doug said he really likes working with his group because, "Everyone shares ideas." Alora added, "Sometimes two heads are better than one. One good idea leads to another!"
