Social Studies:
Students have been working on their Free Enterprise Projects. They have had time to work on them in class all week long but a few students wanted to put some final touches on them at home. Also, some students were given the option of video-taping a commercial for their product or business at home. This was an option but not a necessity. Everyone should be ready to present their business on Monday.

Math: 4.1 Expressions and Variables #s 1-10 all and mixed review all (whole sheet)

Reading: Read Dork in Disguise if you have not finished it yet. Read 40 minutes over the weekend if you have. Cold read for this week "Play Ball" due next Friday September 14th.

Science: Test will be next Thursday, September 13th.

Reading: Finish Dork in Disguise. Read 20 minutes from another book if you have.
Cold read John Muir due tomorrow.

Social Studies: Free enterprise projects will be due Monday. However, with the assembly tomorrow, this could change to Tuesday.

A Note from Mr. George

A quick note from Mr. George, our Art Teacher at Sappington:

I have a small request to make,  With the focus of Literacy across the curriculum becoming a focal point I have decided to bring back the art room journal.  If you could please have each student bring a notebook to class starting next Monday with their name on the front cover I would greatly appreciate it.  Normally I would only have 3rd graders bring them because I will keep them from year to year but with the re-boot of the program I need all three grade levels to bring notebooks.  These notebooks will be kept in the artroom until the students final day of fifth grade.

Third grade could you please make sure to amend the 3rd grade supply list to reflect the need of an additional notebook for art for the 2013-2014 school year, I would greatly appreciate it.
