Social Studies:  Native American Project. Students are creating a model of a Native American dwelling of their choice at home. They have been instructed to be creative but also to try and use materials they already have. Don't go out and spend a bunch of money on 10 different colors of clay. Some examples of Native American dwellings we learned about thus far are pueblos, longhouses, teepees, and Adobes. Students can use their textbooks as a resource and research on the internet. In class, the students are conducting research and putting together a presentation about the Native American tribe they chose. The project is due Tuesday, October 9th.
