Homework for January 29th, 2013

Math:  Test Thursday, January 31st. Study chapters 13, 15, and 16. Review pages at the end of each chapter are helpful (pages 287, 333, 363). Know how to do the following:

  •          How to tell if a number is divisible by 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, and 10.
  •          How to find the greatest common factor of two numbers
  •          How to find the least common multiple of two numbers
  •          How to write a fraction in lowest terms (simplest form)
  •          How to find equivalent fractions
  •          How to write an improper fraction as a mixed number & how to write a mixed  number as a fraction
  •          How to write a fraction as a decimal & how to write a decimal as a fraction
  •          How to compare fractions with unlike denominators to find out which one is greater
  •          How to add and subtract fractions
Reading: Read 20 minutes. Cold Read "Aubuelita" due Friday, February 1st. Book club jobs for Friday. 

Science: Finish powerpoint if you have yet to do so.

Social Studies: Black history posters due Thursday, January 31st. We will not work on these in class tomorrow so these need to be finished at home if they have yet to complete theirs.
